City Council Decision
City Council on March 28 and 29, 2017, adopted the following:
1. City Council increase the 2017 Approved Operating Budget for Non-Program on a one-time basis by $300,000.00 gross, $0 net, fully funded by Section 37 (Planning Act Reserve Funds) community benefits from 501-521 Yonge Street, 6-8 Alexander Street and 23 Maitland Street (Source Account 220096) for transfer to Egale Human Rights Trust in order help renovate and retrofit the Toronto Community Housing Corporation owned property at 257 Dundas Street to create a 30 bed affordable housing facility for LGBTQ2S homeless youth (Cost Centre NP2161).
2. City Council direct that the $300,000.00 be forwarded to Egale Human Rights Trust, subject to Egale signing an Undertaking governing the use of the funds and the financial reporting requirements.
