The Community Development and Recreation Committee: 

1.  In accordance with Section 71-11.1.C of the City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 71 (Financial Control Bylaw), granted authority to amend Contract No. 47018546 with Roy Foss Chevrolet Buick GMC by an additional amount of $684,865 excluding all taxes and charges, ($696,919 net of HST recoveries) increasing the current contract value from $819,629 to $1,504,494 excluding all taxes and charges (or net of HST recoveries from $834,055 to $1,530,973).

The purpose of this report is to request authority to amend Contract No. 47018546, issued to Roy Foss Chevrolet Buick GMC for the non-exclusive supply and delivery of latest model 4WD Chevrolet Tahoes with Special Service Package for Toronto Paramedic Services (TPS) and Toronto Fire Services, in the amount of $684,865, excluding all taxes and charges (or $696,919 net of HST recoveries), increasing the current contract from $819,629 to $1,504,494 excluding all taxes and charges.

This amendment is required for TPS to purchase in total an additional sixteen (16) latest model 4WD Chevrolet Tahoes, 6 units in 2018 and 10 units in 2019, to support the Division's Community Paramedicine Wellness Clinics and Home Visit Program, and to meet TPS' growth in operational demand as a result of a growing and aging population. As the original RFQ for 4WD Tahoes was prepared in 2014, prior to City Council approving five (5) additional FTEs to support Community Paramedicine programming in 2018, future required quantities for Tahoes could not have been known or determined in 2014.  These units will be purchased under the same terms and conditions set out in RFQ No. 6112-14-3131.
