City Council Decision

City Council on April 24, 25, 26 and 27, 2018, adopted the following:

 

1.  City Council direct the Executive Director, Municipal Licensing and Standards, to report back to the Licensing and Standards Committee at its meeting on May 4, 2018 with amendments to Chapter 740, Street Vending, so that those who want to sell portraits created at a work station:

 

a.  are permitted to apply for new permits;

 

b.  pay an annual fee of $39 to be consistent with busker permits;

 

c.  are exempted from any requirement to provide insurance; and

 

d.  are permitted to vend in any area that would meet the criteria as set out in Chapter 740, Section 7.

The Licensing and Standards Committee recommends that:
