Community Council Decision

Etobicoke York Community Council:

 

1.  Approved the name "Samuel Wood Way" for the proposed private street at 5365 Dundas Street West.

 

2.  Requested the applicant to pay the costs, estimated to be $500.00, for the fabrication and installation of the street name signage.

 

3.  Requested the owner and successors of the subject lands to maintain, at their own risk, the street name signage installed under Part 2 above.

Etobicoke York Community Council held a public meeting on March 19, 2019, in accordance with the City of Toronto Act, 2006.  Notice of the proposed enactment of the draft by-law was posted on the Public Notice Page of the City's website in accordance with the requirements of the City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 162.

Summary

This report recommends that the name "Samuel Wood Way" be approved to identify a proposed private street at 5365 Dundas Street West.

 

Community Councils have delegated authority to decide street naming matters which comply with the City of Toronto Street Naming Policy.
