City Council Decision
City Council on May 14 and 15, 2019, adopted the following:
1. City Council:
a. express its strong opposition to the proposed 2019 funding cuts to Toronto Public Health by the provincial government;
b. call on the Province of Ontario to reverse the proposed 2019 funding cuts to Toronto Public Health; and
c. direct the City Manager, in consultation with the Medical Officer of Health, to utilize City advertising locations to inform Torontonians of the health impacts if the proposed funding cuts to Toronto Public Health proceed.

b. Call on the Province of Ontario to reverse the proposed 2019 funding cuts to Toronto Public Health; and
c. Direct the City Manager, in consultation with the Medical Officer of Health, to utilize City advertising locations to inform Torontonians of the health risks impacts if the proposed funding cuts to Toronto Public Health proceed.

Board Recommendations
The Board of Health recommends that:
1. City Council:
a. Express its strong opposition to the proposed funding cuts to Toronto Public Health by the provincial government;
