City Council Decision
City Council on March 10, 2021, adopted the following:
1. City Council direct the General Manager, Parks, Forestry and Recreation to review the policy on designating park districts to ensure that the former Borough of East York is recognized as separate from the other legacy municipalities.
2. City Council direct City Divisions to ensure that any designations of "East York" conform to the historic pre-amalgamation boundaries.
3. City Council direct the City Clerk to put actual map boundaries on the Toronto and East York Community Council website which clearly delineates the boundaries of the former City of Toronto and the former Borough of East York, as well as the parts of North York Community Council which cover areas of the former Borough of East York, and City Council direct the City Clerk to advise Google of their geographic mistake and request a correction.
4. City Council request the City Clerk to report directly to the December 15 and 16, 2021 meeting of City Council, if all the necessary corrections have been made.

Speaker Nunziata advised Council that the provisions of Chapter 27, Council Procedures, require that Motion MM30.21 be referred to the Executive Committee. A two-thirds vote of the Council Members present is required to waive referral.
That City Council request the City Clerk to report directly to the December 15 and 16, 2021 meeting of City Council, if all the necessary corrections have been made.
