City Council Decision

City Council on November 9, 10 and 12, 2021, adopted the following:

 

1.  City Council authorize the City Manager or designate to negotiate and enter into an agreement with the Trottier Family Foundation for a $150,000 grant to the Toronto Atmospheric Fund for a building retrofit program with activities in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area and in Montreal, Quebec, on terms and conditions acceptable to the Controller and in a form satisfactory to the City Solicitor.

 

2. City Council authorize the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer to receive the $150,000 from the Trottier Family Foundation and transfer the funds to the Toronto Atmospheric Fund, in accordance with the Toronto Atmospheric Fund Act, 2005.

 

3. City Council authorize, until the end of the current term of City Council:

 

a. the City Manager or designate, in consultation with the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, to negotiate and enter into agreements with foundations or other grantmaking institutions for other grants to the Toronto Atmospheric Fund that align with its mandate and on terms and conditions acceptable to the Controller and in a form satisfactory to the City Solicitor; and

 

b. the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer to receive such grants and transfer the funds to the Toronto Atmospheric Fund in accordance with the Toronto Atmospheric Fund Act, 2005.
