TE23.1 - Permanent Closure of a Portion of the Western Terminus of Randolph Avenue

City Council Decision
City Council on March 10, 2021, adopted the following:
1. City Council authorize the permanent closure of a portion of the western terminus of Randolph Avenue, designated as Part 20 on Plan 66R-31423 and containing a land area of 4.5 square metres (the "Highway"), in Attachment 2 to the report (December 14, 2020) from the Director, Transportation Planning and Capital Program, Transportation Services.
2. City Council enact a By-law substantially in the form of the draft by-law attached in Attachment 1 as Appendix A to the report (December 14, 2020) from the Director, Transportation Planning and Capital Program, Transportation Services.
3. City Council authorize Transportation Services staff to advise the public of the proposed closure of the Highway prior to implementation, in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment for Schedule "A+" activities, by posting notice of the proposed closure on the notice page of the City’s website for at least five (5) working days prior to the Toronto and East York Community Council meeting which the proposed by-law to close the Highway will be considered.

Community Council Recommendations
The Toronto and East York Community Council recommends that:
1. City Council authorize the permanent closure of a portion of the western terminus of Randolph Avenue, designated as Part 20 on Plan 66R-31423 and containing a land area of 4.5 m2 (the "Highway"), in Attachment 2 attached to the report (December 14, 2020) from the Director, Transportation Planning and Capital Program, Transportation Services.
